Art Walk Easthampton is Showing Its Banners July 12th!

Here is something fun to do on the second Saturday of each month, the Art Walk Easthampton. You can think of it as a special scavenger hunt – all you have to do is look for the yellow banners posted all around Easthampton and you will be rewarded with a variety of local flavor and it’s FREE – ahh… the magic four letter word!
July 12th is the next walk so don’t you miss it. Remember, there is a local treasure behind each banner.
If you can’t make it this Saturday, don’t you fret, there are more second Saturdays to come… there’s also next year – 2009!

Joan Mitchell Foundation 2007 MFA Grant Recipients

Peter Gregorio clued us in on the awesome Joan Mitchell MFA Award exhibition at the CUE Foundation, running from now until August 2. This new crop of young up-and-coming artists is sure to inspire those visiting the gallery, but we’re especially excited to see Peter’s seven foot square painting featuring 3-channel video and sound that is said to explore the “Holographic Principle”.

James Taylor in Tanglewood Lenox, MA July 3rd & 4th
If you are a J.T. fan, as we call him in our family, then you should not miss his concerts at Tanglewood. This year it will take place on July 3rd. I’ve been to it twice and it really is a great experience. You have the option of sitting close to him on the open pavilion or just spreading out a blanket and listening to his sweet tunes on the lawn.
Many bring their China out and have a very formal picnic, wine and all. It is a very relaxed atmosphere that should be experienced by all.
