Northamptonist's geo/audio project

Northamptonist is an excellent, often updated blog about local issues ranging from politics to street art in the town of Northampton.

They are currently engaged in a fascinating project called the Community Audio Recording Project, in which those wishing to participate may call a telephone number and leave a message up to two minutes in length. The audio file is then geotagged and linked to on a Google Map.

This art-project-meets-documentary-meets-geocaching is right up my alley.

    Im glad you liked this project, and thanks for noting it here. I would encourage you to call the number yourself someday, 413.320.4141 and leave your own audio commentary on whatever you would like to immortalize at that moment!

    And good blog to know about! I can’t believe I wasn’t savvy to it sooner. I love it! (And checking it out, now I know more about Benny the Bucket Man.)
