About True Blue
This beautiful boutique resort is a family owned and operated hotel on the Caribbean island of Grenada. Located on the South Coast, this unique and colorful resort is set among tropical gardens, and overlooks the spectacular waters of True Blue Bay. The resort includes a restaurant, spa, yoga studio, relaxing pools, dive center, marina, yacht charter, kayaks, hobie cats, cooking class and rum tasting demonstrations all conveniently onsite.
The Challenge
Initially Skytemple provided basic content marketing help to True Blue — and as the conversation developed, more opportunities emerged.
The talented and capable in-house marketing team was looking for fresh ideas, tactics, and methods. The website was in need of an overhaul, as well.
Above all, True Blue was keen on increasing their direct bookings to match with the resort’s growth.
What We Did
Starting in 2017 and continuing for a 6-month “marketing makeover” consultation project, Skytemple supported and supplemented this Caribbean resort’s marketing team while overhauling the website, systems and overall strategy to attract more direct bookings.
Consultation
We met with True Blue’s marketing team on a bi-weekly basis over the course of a 6-month consultation project. Our regular sessions included hotel general manager Magdalena Fielden and head of marketing Marie Fielden, as well as the social media director, in-house website developer, graphic designer, photographer, and videographer.
Over the course of a few months, Skytemple provided regular guidance to True Blue’s talented in-house marketing team. Meeting in person or online, we reviewed the procedures and tactics used in marketing, determined the key performance indicators, and established new procedures to improve upon the most valuable metrics.
Website Design & Development
Thanks to a complete overhaul of the True Blue website, the user experience was drastically improved, and direct booking was easier (and more appealing) than ever.
Custom Chatbot System
Thanks to configuration of an advanced chatbot, True Blue benefited from a whole new sales channel. The chatbot offered a means for site visitors to chat directly with the live booking team in real time. During off hours, the chatbot responded to requests automatically, offering interactive guidance to relevant parts of the site, even handling booking requests, automatically.
Content Update Retainer
Skytemple offered ongoing improvements to the website and marketing content, keeping information up to speed with seasonal offers, and improving things in an ongoing basis.
Website Care & Updates
The speed, security, and optimization of the site were all kept in tip-top shape while regular updates were applied to the website core, theme, and plugins.

We made regular updates to the website and marketing assets, handling new promotions, additional pages, and general improvements.
Conclusion
Thanks to our work together, True Blue enjoyed a nice boost to the site and systems behind their direct bookings, and benefited from improvements to their marketing process, as well.
