Rejoice in the utilitarian! On November 4, 2010, Russian artist Vlad Korneev opened his new museum, ‘Designpanoptikum, Museum For Extraordinary Objects,’ in Berlin, Germany. The items on display emphasize form stemming from function, an often ignored concept in our culture that is largely obsessed with things that are sleek and shiny. Not that there is anything wrong with all those iPhones out there, but strange and clunky can be beautiful, too!
